About Us
Hi, I’m Jennifer—mom of three, former health teacher (12+ years), and founder of Power Up Kids. With a Master’s in Education and four teaching credentials, I’ve spent my career helping kids build healthy habits. But as a mom, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to get kids excited about nutritious food.
That’s why I created Power Up Kids—starting with charcuterie-inspired food boards designed to make healthy eating fun, easy, and interactive. What started as a simple way to Engage, Educate, and Empower my own kids at mealtime quickly became a game-changer for other families, turning picky eating struggles into food art fun.
At Power Up Kids, we believe:
✅ Food should be fun – Kids are more likely to eat healthy when meals feel like an experience, not a chore.
✅ Healthy eating should be easy – No stress, no mess—just simple, creative ways to get kids to try new foods.
✅ Empowering kids builds lifelong habits – When kids take charge of their meals, they gain confidence in making healthy choices.
Our Power Up Boards help parents ditch mealtime battles and transform eating into an engaging, hands-on experience. With colorful food art, creative snack ideas, and bonus resources, we make nutrition simple, mess-free, and exciting.
🌱 Power Up Kids is here to make healthy eating an adventure—one delicious bite at a time!
🌟 Our Core Values- The 3 E's 🌟
Core Value #1
✨ Engage – Make Food Fun & Interactive
Kids are more likely to eat healthy when food is playful, exciting, and hands-on. Our charcuterie-inspired food boards turn mealtime into an activity, not a battle, encouraging creativity through food art, build-your-own meals, and colorful variety. When kids are engaged, they’re more open to trying new foods and making better choices.
Core Value #2
🍎 Educate – Play Based Learning
We believe kids learn best through experience, not lectures. Our boards introduce portioning, and balanced nutrition in a simple, visual way—helping kids make connections between what they eat and how they feel. By making nutrition fun, approachable, and pressure-free, kids gain a natural understanding of how to fuel their bodies well.

Core Value #3
💪 Empower – Build Confidence & Healthy Habits
When kids take charge of their own meals, they develop independence, confidence, and healthy decision-making skills. Our boards give kids the freedom to create their own meals in a way that feels fun and empowering, helping them build a positive relationship with food that lasts a lifetime.
💡 How We Empower:
✅ Encouraging kids to design their own snack and meal boards
✅ Inspiring independence in making food choices
✅ Turning mealtime into an experience that fosters ownership and joy
